CASPER – Wyoming Republican Party Chairman Diana Vaughan issued the following statement regarding the 2010 Primary Election results:

“Wyoming is blessed that so many well-qualified Republicans stepped forward to offer themselves as primary candidates. The candidates, their staffs and their supporters are to be commended on their hard work and dedication to the conservative principles we hold dear: limiting the reach of government, promoting individual opportunity, and practicing sound fiscal discipline.

Today State Treasurer, Joe Meyer, held a press conference to provide information to the public about results of some medical tests he recently underwent. Treasurer Meyer explained that about two weeks ago when he was attending a meeting, he reached for something and felt as if he pulled a muscle in his shoulder and chest. Because the pain of that injury was very unusual he went to the doctor and found that he actually had a tumor which is primarily on the outside of the lung, protruding inward.
